AIC – Great Lakes Balachandran Incubator (AGBI) is supported by Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog and Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai. AGBI envisions fostering disruptive innovation in the domains of Financial Technology, Educational Technology, Health Technology, Agricultural Technology and Energy/Ecology Technology. It would encourage nascent entrepreneur to leverage emerging technologies such as Augmented/Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Machine Learning, Algorithmic Analytics and Blockchain to lead platform-revolution and inclusive enterprises.

10,000sqft incubation facility with amenities specifically designed for AGBI startups, inspired by the best layouts of over 50+ international and national incubators and accelerators.
Creative Space – The 1200 sqft creative space is meant for brainstorming and collaborative thinking between and among teams, that also doubles up as an event space for workshop and training events.
Tinkering Lab – The 800 Sqft maker space and IoT lab comes equipped with best equipment for low and high-fidelity prototyping, complete with 3d printer, PCB miller and a variety of IoT equipment and kits, for almost any IoT application.
AI-ML Lab – The AI-ML Lab is equipped with 35 powerful computers, cloud and local servers, ultra-fast internet connection, quad monitors etc. that allow startups to develop almost any AI-ML application using the 20+ software programs that come inbuilt with the systems.
Collaborative Work Spaces & Meeting Rooms – Startups are assigned work spaces and can freely use the various meeting rooms, designed for comfort and quality team work.
Multi-Media studio – Startups can use the state-of-the-art multi-media studio to record explainer videos for their products, promotional videos for their business and much more!

GATE: AGBI has laid out a well-defined set of criteria to identify the country’s best minds and breakthrough
ideas for incubation that will serve as a ‘Gate’ to admittance.
GAUGE: Startups by nature have to deal with amultitude of risks, which AGBI will help them ‘Gauge’
in order to effectively mitigate those risks during incubation.
GUIDE: The startups will be guided to develop their validated solution, develop and execute on strategy and launch into the market.
GROW: Startups enter the market. The startup is not only self-sufficient but is also growing rapidly, with a large momentum to scale and expand its scope.
GRADUATE: The incubatees stabilise the business and work on the globalizability.
GENERATE: The sixth stage of our incubation is about the generating of value – economic value addition
to the stakeholders, and social value addition to the society & nation – by way of wealth, employment,

Today, by turn of circumstances and global factors, India is in a position to stake its claim to regain its paradise and the lost glory by becoming a socio-economic superpower again. Great Lakes was created as a constituent catalyst for this grand vision of every Indian.

Great Lakes Institute of Management, was chosen by the Atal Innovation Mission in February 2019, to establish an AIC, at GLIM - Manamai campus off ECR on the outskirts of the thriving metropolis of Chennai. Named after the beloved dean emeritus and founder – Dr. Bala Balachandran for his passion for Innovative Technoprenuership, the AIC-Great Lakes Balachandran Incubator was born with the mission to ‘evangelize, network, and catalyse entrepreneurship growth in India’, founded on ‘next practices’. We are delighted that we are given this opportunity to live our Values of “Passion with Compassion”, “Abilities with Nobility” and “Success with Integrity”, to enable our bright youth to not just be job seekers but to become job creators and wealth creators for our country - making India the new Silicon Valley for Prosperity and Productivity in the process – and Regain the Paradise we lost about 600 years ago, and make India the global destination again.
