Ecosage is an Indian Himalayan Region Recycling Company that is dedicated to giving the region its first alternate recycling avenue using smart waste collection systems and high-tech solid waste treatment methods to reintroduce recycled waste into the supply chain by eliminating the use of virgin materials in the ecosystem, focusing on Reducing, Reusing and Recycling waste into Highly Valuable Products (HVP).

1. Improving the current infrastructure by introducing ICT solutions in waste management. Our ICT solutions include Route optimization and scheduling, GPS based tracking of vehicles, Bin fill level notifications & developing an app for Driver, Field Staff & the citizens. Existing systems limitations like Lack of coordination between Urban Local Bodies (ULB’s), burning of recyclable materials, improper dumping of waste, lack of real-time reporting & limited collection bandwidth of ULB’s will be tackled by the introduction of ICT solutions.
2. Setting up Recycling and Material Recovery Facilities in different parts of the region is to provide a holistic recycling solution for all types of plastic waste. We aim to recycle waste into HVP to secure the heavy cost of collections, transfer, and transportation at the same time generating green jobs in the region.

Himalayan region is known for its pristine beauty and snow-clad mountains that manages to attract millions of people every year. These millions of visitors are a means of livelihood for most of these mountain dwellers. Millions of this floating population have contributed to the rampant increase in the consumption demand that has consequently brought a huge inflow of commodities that has a contradistinction low yield of recyclables against the actual number. Further probing led us to realize that one biggest challenge is the lack of infrastructure system in place for Collection & Recycling which eventually leads to 60% of MSW ending up in landfills, unscientifically disposed of, at various dumpsites. We intend to impact 720 million people leaving in the mountains and billion more downstream.
