About the Organization

a) Background
Indigram Labs Foundation (ILF) was founded in 2015 and was recognized as a Technology Business Incubator with the support of NSTEDB, DST, GoI from 6th September 2016. Indigram Labs Foundation is housed at the premises of the host organization, Indian Society of Agribusiness Professionals (ISAP) which has set up more than 1,800 Agri-based ventures through the ACABC program under the Ministry of Agriculture, GOI and has promoted more than 200 FPOs under state Government and GOI schemes. This experience became the fund for entrepreneurship development through Indigram Labs. ILF aims to support 100 innovations in the next 10 years through the process of mentoring, funding, networking & leveraging platforms that yield the stated results. We have gathered extensive experience in funding startups, hand-holding of FPOs, employment generation at the grassroots level, making social impact by executing successfully government funded projects, helping agri-preneurs in field testing their innovations amongst other activities. Our successful startups have generated more than 1000 direct or indirect employments throughout the country. We have helped several of our startups in fine tuning their Agri-based prototypes by giving them access to actual field level testing and feedback from end-users.
b) About Parent Organization, ISAP
Indian Society of Agribusiness Professionals (ISAP), is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in 2001 under Section 25/8 of the Companies Act. ISAP was set up by a group of Agriculture and Management Professionals with the aim to enhance livelihood opportunities for rural communities and sustainability. ISAP has more than 600 dedicated fulltime associates and 800-part time resource persons spread across 10 states of India working in Agriculture and Rural Development with focus on:


• Sustainable Intensification of Agriculture
• Skill, Entrepreneurship Development & Incubation
• Women Empowerment
• Water and Sanitation
• Renewable Energy
• Health and Elderly Care
ISAP’s efforts in enhancing Rural Livelihoods have benefitted more than one million rural households and gave recognition to ISAP through several national and international awards including UN Global Compact Award for best CSR Practices contributing towards achieving the SDGs, Citation by the House of Representatives (State of Missouri, USA), National Agriculture Extension Leadership Award, National e-Governance Award for Kisan Call Center (KCC) and National Award for promoting local culture and good agriculture practices through Community Radio Station (Kisan-wani). ISAP is empaneled with the CSR hub at Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) and Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).
