The key problem that we are addressing is the lack of Entrepreneurial Mindset & Skill Set in the youth.
As per the MHRD report (DISE,2019) nearly 113 million students attend Govt. schools in India. The low income Govt. School students are receiving formal education and are theoretically capable but we are not empowering them to identify and develop their own strengths & potential.
With the lack of practical & experiential style of learning, we are not making them ready to face the challenges of the 21st Century. Even though these students complete their education, they are however not ready with basic skills of employability leading them to fall into a vicious cycle of poverty and to chain reactions such as unemployment, lack of employability skills & stagnation in the economy. The MHRD report of AISHE 2015-16 states that out of the total students graduated only 15% are employed as per their skill set & academics, also 12 million people who are eligible to apply for jobs, and only 5.5 million jobs are created in the market highlighting the clear scenario of unemployment.
There is immense talent & potential however these students do not get the right platform to channelize their energy in the correct direction.
